A13: Trunk Road to the Sea
Welcome
This website consists of photos of the recently (2003-2004) upgraded A13 dual carriageway in East London, along with its logical extensions, the older A1261 Aspen Way and A1203 Limehouse Link in the Docklands area, both dating from 1993. Also included are some pictures of the 1998/1999 new- build section by-passing Dagenham and Rainham, and the much older A13 dual section out into Essex, dating from the 1970s/1980s. For the sake of completeness I have also included the (mostly) single carriageway sections through London's East End, as well as the non-primary sections through Benfleet, Southend and Shoeburyness in Essex.

Aspen Way was opened in 1993 as a dual link between the Limehouse tunnel and Leamouth, almost right on the Thames.
