The new D3 Beckton Flyover soars over the old North Circular, the A117. This view from the south, with some work still needed on the junction, the flyover itself was coned off at D2 for works further west at Canning Town. It wasn't until later in 2004 that lane restrictions were lifted.

Another sign on the A406, this time on the flared carriageways awaiting the flyover above the A13 on approach to the planned Thames Gateway Bridge. For now, the A1020 continues the North Circular south of the A13, as far as the original A117 down to Woolwich Ferry.

The A406 joins the A13 roundabout, fully signalised apart from free-flow connectors for A406(S) to A13(E) traffic and A13(E) to A406(N) traffic). The hut on the roundabout is probably owned by Transport for London, but I'm not 100% certain.

A1020 turn-off, this road being S4 for a bit, then D2 for a short distance until it meets the A117, which is only S2 all the way to the Woolwich Ferry. However, the A1020 itself heads east towards Docklands and D2 for much of its length. It meets the A13 again at the Leamouth junction (qv.).
